enjoy walking to parks and local landmarks from this cozy stay
We took a couple of days off and spent time on the balcony enjoying the quiet and the hummingbirds, which made our stay even more special as we explored the nearby Sanctuario de Chimayo, just over 2 km away, and strolled around the Santa Cruz Lake Recreation Area, only about 1.5 km from our stay.

Had an amazing group trip with friends. The rooms were cozy, and breakfast was a treat, especially that homemade hot chocolate! We hiked the Winsor Trail and loved the scenic views. Our hostess was warm, making us feel right at home. Perfect base for exploring Northern New Mexico. highly recommend it!
One downside was that we didn't hear any coyotes at night, which was a bit disappointing.

Peaceful retreat in Chimayo
Such a chill spot! Super quiet and cozy vibe. Staff were really nice, and breakfast in the outdoor area was delicious—totally hit the spot! Only thing is, the local liquor store they recommended was sketchy, so just grab your drinks elsewhere. All in all, great place for a getaway.

Finding the place after dark is a bit tricky, so plan on arriving when the sun's still up. The breakfast hours could be limiting. I prefer an earlier start, especially for early risers. While the room had lovely touches, some noise from the creaky bathroom floor was annoying, especially if someone got up early. Additionally, I experienced a malfunctioning shower head, which could definitely use a fix.

Lovely stay! The room was spacious and the decor was charming. Breakfasts were delightful and left me feeling satisfied for the day ahead.
But honestly, breakfast starting at 8 felt like an amateur tease when you're ready to seize the day at 7! Who knew vacation could come with breakfast impatience?
